These are cylindrical heating elements. The installation is usually ensured by inserting it into the opening of the heated element. The supporting elements of the heating coil are ceramic elements; the whole is encased in a tube-like shell. The assembly is backfilled with an insulator, possibly compacted to optimize heat dissipation from the spiral to the cartridge wall. The customer selects the type of outlet, the size of the element and possible mounting brackets.

Brass cartridges

We provide a brass coating of cartridge heaters in needed dimensions. Brass coating helps to achieve better heat transfer.

Stainless steel cartridges

The cartridge casing is made of stainless steel tube of the desired diameter. In the case of forged high-load cartridges, the casing is cut into the exact dimension.

Example of application: heating of injection molds
Derivatives: Galvanic elements – these are ceramic cylindrical elements housed in their own watertight thermowell with an outlet and IP65 protection. They are used for heating baths in galvanizing plants. The customer selects the power input, lengths, non-heating parts and thermowell material. An optimum liquid level for its operation is marked on the body with a mark.
Sheath Material: AISI 316 Ti, AISI 304, glazed porcelain, Teflon ECTFE, Titan Gr 2, borosilicate or quartz glass.
Temperature: up to 450 °C

It is a variant of the heating cartridge, without outer casing and sand backfill. Heating elements are made of ceramic beams, most often of cylindrical shape, in which heating spirals are stretched. It is one of the most widespread types of heating elements.
The advantage of these elements is a higher operating temperature, low price and long service life with proper use.

Produced diameters: 48,5; 48, 45; 42; 40; 36; 26; 25; 24; 22; 20; 18; 16; 14; 12; 10 and 8mm

  • Indirect heating of liquids (boilers, electric boilers, tanks, galvanic baths)
  • Air heating
  • Electric soldering irons, pipe welders
  • Infrared heaters for industrial, food and animal production
  • Internal heating of tubes and cylinders

Derivatives: Heating elements can also be produced in a special multi-circuit design for photovoltaic power plants, where one part of the body operates on 230 or 400 VAC and the second DC circuit is designed for connecting PV panels.

Standard manufacturing tolerance of stainless steel heating cartridges:

Diameter: -0,02/-0,08 mm.
Cartridge length: +2%/-2% length; up to 100 mm ±2 mm.
Power input: +10%/-10% (measured at the operating temperature).
Cartridge tolerance on straightness:

  • Up to 100 mm cartridge length – 0,1mm
  • For cartridge length of 200mm – 0,15mm
  • For cartridge length of 300mm – 0,2mm

Custom production allows the production of elements with almost any parameters, both geometrical and electrical; it is, therefore, possible to replace the existing heating element with a non-original replacement. Time is money – we normally keep delivery terms at a weekly level. If necessary, the term can be shortened (surcharge) or special delivery terms can be agreed. All activities from the offer, through design, calculation and production are minimized with regard to the speed of the entire order.
